The Australian School Meal Alliance (ASMA) is established under the auspices and governance of the Federation of Canteens in Schools (FOCIS).
The purpose of the Australian School Meal Alliance is to:
- Promote national cohesion and equitable access to nutritious meals provided at school
- Enable cross sector collaboration to advocate, connect and empower the development and implementation of school meal initiatives.
FOCIS will act as the host organisation, providing guidance, governance and oversight, to ensure the Alliance operates in line with its vision and mission, aligned with the FOCIS Strategic Plan.
If you are interested in joining the ASMA committee as a member please review the Terms of Reference and please complete the EOI. The committee will inform the next stages of ASMA.
Once the committee is established, further information will be shared about how the broader school food community can be involved with ASMA, including working groups for key areas relating to school meals.
